Friday February 11  you can check out a Swedish band at Kulturhuset Oceanen, in central Gothenburg near Masthugget and Majorna. Kaja Trio has been touring since 2005, mainly around Sweden and a bit of Germany. This show has a bit of a different twist though, it's a "Picnic Concert." Take your friends and some good homemade food and go listen to the music and relax while enjoying your picnic.

What kind of music is it? Let's say indie + European folk. But to get a better picture, have a listen on their Myspace page. The Kaja Trio members are Livet Nord on violin and viola, Camilla Åström on accordion and piano, and Daniel Wejdin on the double bass. Visit kajatrio.se to learn more about the band and their latest album Rust. Unfortunately I couldn't find them on Spotify!

While looking at Kulturhuset Oceanen's website, look at their calendar for more shows. They even have more picnic shows coming up. Kulturhuset has a lot going on since it contains different cultural organizations with frequent activities, mainly with dance (Argentinian Tango, among other types), theater and music. See a list of "culture-producing" organizations on the right panel of the website. For one, Café Chao seems worth a visit if you ask me!
