About us
Misi.se network was founded in the spring of 2008 for increasing collaborations with all the student unions in Gothenburg. Misi.se insured our mission to increase the cooperation between student unions and through the webpage we were able to create and advertise bigger and better events directed to all international students in Gothenburg . During the fall of 2008 we started spreading the network to schools around Sweden, making Misi.se into a national network with huge potential to improve life as an exchange student in Sweden. The Misi.se network is also working with student unions to create the a easy to use, fun and enriching portal for international student in Sweden and let students know that Sweden is most exciting country for international exchange studies.
The Misi.se network connects 5000 international students in Sweden. Schools that are involved in the Misi.se network for a common better international student life are today: School of business economics and law in Gothenburg, University of Gothenburg, Chalmers university of technology, University of Skövde, Mälardalen University, Örebro University, Uppsala University and KTH
We here at misi.se hope we can help improving life as an international student in Sweden, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or ideas at reachus@misi.se
Introducing the New Misi.se team 2009

My name is Yining Wang and the Team leader and creator of the Misi.se platform my nick name is just too many
since I do have a pretty complicated and rare name, The best nickname I got was Yo! By my former basketball coach in USA. What really excites me is except for Neon lights, palm trees, is the pursuit of opportunities and realization of goals. Looking at the growth and development of the Misi.se network really excites me and makes me want to make it even better. I’m now currently in my second year at Handels economics/business program with French minor and take some Japanese courses at Gu. I love exchange students since I’ve been an exchange student already twice before. It’s definitely the best one can do. Nowadays people always see me busy with school and Misi.se but if you go to Vino Tapas now and then during lunch you’ll see me : ).
They call me Rasmus “The mediator” Nykvist
But really I am a very special person, I’m most likely to be found on the run between 100000 meetings and get exited when people look at me. I am the person responsible for contact between misi.se and the student unions though I am originally from the handels international comittee (INTU). As I study Business/Economy with a speciality on Spanish (at Handels) aswell as International Relations (at GU) you can guess my interest is in the intersection of cultures. Racism just isn’t my cup of tea
They call me “the small one“ because I’m just 152 cm tall (short) but really, my name is Sanna. I get excited about foreign cultures and languages, that is why I am a former student buddy of Haga Exchange group and have been a member in the Misi.se team since 2008. I’m in my third year of Human Resources Management and Labour studies and the last year I have been taking studies in Italian and Global gender issues as well. Since I love to travel and never get enough of it I guess my favourite place to be is “abroad”… But I always come back to Göteborg in the end and I will try my best to help you like the city as much as I do.
They call me Drop-down Master. I’m so glad you clicked on the Info page, even though it was probably by accident. I’ll try my best to make your visit to our and my ‘about page’ totally worth your while.
So, the highlights. If you think someone can’t be defined by 5 bullets, I challenge you to read and see if you don’t feel like we’ve known each other our whole lives. In the end, if you don’t, i’ll treat you to one of my all time personal favorite cookies/past time – Chocolate chip cookies. I’ll even give you some pucko.Keep reading if you really like chocolates.
1) I’m totally unlike any other Business Analyst in that I’m a young adult male. I come from Kerala, which is approximately 1543 Kms from anywhere Useful, Mumbai. We used to have a cricket team, but I think they all died in a horrible KMML explosion or something.
2) I’m pretty much as smart as the guy in Good Will Hunting. What’s that? Good Will Hunting, ya. The movie where the guy gets repeatedly outsmarted by a bear. Oh, really? Oh, oh, that was The Edge. Never saw Good Will Hunting.
2 ) Now, why do you think i have two two’s in my list? By the time you’ve figured that out, you’d know why I chose the nickname ‘onedarkzombie’ as well. Give it a shot!
4) I throw a Party once or twice every month. Anyone is welcome to come, and I’ve spent more and more money each month making sure the next party is a more amazing event. Recently it’s attracted some pretty high profile people. For example, at the last party, security from all over the area came over and said that they wanted to be only ones partying. Kinda selfish of them, but since i’m a nice guy, i asked everyone else to leave and let the security and the cops have their way. I think you get the message. I’m kind of a big deal.
5) My name is Ravi Jay, and I always try to remain calm and positive. But since I need some release at times. I play soccer , beach volleyball and guitar, and when I get some free time, I like to pretend to study for my Masters degree at Chalmers.
So, that’s a little about me. But I want to hear more about you. So tell me a lit- oh, sorry my phone is ringing. OOOH, I have to take that, it’s my accountant- apparently my finances broke his calculator. Something about an “integer underflow error”.
LaterZ!
They call me “the girl with the camera” but really, my name is Andrea.
I’m most likely to take pictures when you’re not ready, sleep on the buss or camp in the woods with my little scouts. But not that rarely you will find me in front of the computer or in the library. I get excited when I sucess or when I get my hands on a new, fun product. On Misi I’m updating the “Handels” page and write posts about events. I’m in my first year of the Programme in Business and Economics with French minor (in Handels) and so far I enjoy my time as a student. I’m also in Handels International commitee (INTU) as a student buddy. The meetings with the exchange students makes me realise that this project with Misi.se, a place where you can find everything going on, is invaluable.
They call me Hassan.
