So in the midst of this blistering cold weather here in Gothenburg, why not party all out like if it’s in the sunshine states? This week’s club guide let me introduce Tranquilo Bar & Resturant.

Tranquilo Bar & Resturant is big bar/restaurant situated right by kungportsplatsen just in front of the Saluhallen I the center of Gothenburg. Tranquilo is bar inspired by the exotic South American culture and the sunshine relaxing feeling. The walls are painted red, orange with a touch sunset colour. Downstairs at Tranquilo there is large a dance space along with lots of comfortable seats as well.

During night’s you can order some really nice tropical drinks such as the traditional Tranquilo Twist, Pina colada, mojitos etc.

The music played at Tranquilo is pretty mixed however mostly with a slight touch of South American inspired salsa, latinmusik and house music.

It’s a nice local club, not as noisy as the other larger nightclubs, a great place to go if you’re looking to hang out with your friends and socialize over some nice food or tropical drinks

During weekend nights it’s usually a pretty crowded club where many Swedes go wash away the cold and have a change of nature.
